The map below is reasonably accurate for the West Bloomfield (Ohel Moed) portion. If you have questions about specific areas, please contact us or call the Rabbi.
We are also showing the boundaries of the Sarah Tugman Bais Chabad (Silberberg) and Bais Chabad Farmington Hills (Bergstein), however these lines may not represent the precise boundaries.
The West Bloomfield eruv encloses a large portion of West Bloomfield west of Orchard Lake Road, and is connected to the Bais Chabad eruv east of Orchard. It has a perimeter of approximately 8 miles and an area of approximately 2.6 square miles.
In most places, the eruv uses the telephone or cable TV cable bundles running between utility poles. In several areas (Cromwell Woods, English Gardens) it uses high-strength fishing line.
The Eruv is usually checked partially each week on Wednesday or Thursday, with a complete inspection completed each month.
