Yiras Shomayim, devotion to Torah, and never-ending hasmadah were the hallmarks of R’ Yehuda Gasner zt”l. This is the legacy that this unique Tzadik left behind when he was niftar at the young age of 25. It’s the legacy that inspires us all; his family, chaveirim and all who knew him, to continue R’ Yehuda’s work of constant aliyah b’ruchniyus. An ish shalem, R’ Yehuda wrapped his sincere tefilla, Torah knowledge, and high level in all areas of Yiddishkeit in a beautiful casing of middos tovos and sensitivity towards others.
For almost two years we watched R’ Yehuda suffer from a painful illness. The way he lived through unspeakable yissurim with deep Emunah was the final lesson R’ Yehuda taught us. R’ Yehuda left behind a wife and two children, along with scores of friends and admirers. R’ Yehuda, our living Sefer Torah, has passed on. Now we turn to you to help us keep his legacy alive with the writing of a Sefer Torah dedicated in his sacred memory.
